Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are cap-like structures that are designed to fit over the visible surface of compromised teeth to support and protect them. They can be crafted from a variety of materials, but we often make them from natural-looking ones, like ceramic, zirconia, porcelain, and porcelain-fused-to-metal. With the proper maintenance, dental crowns can last for several years, helping to preserve your natural tooth’s health.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Composite resin is a tooth-colored, putty-like material that we use to fill cavities and keep bacteria from gaining access to the inner portion of teeth, leading to infections. Due to the composite resin’s biocompatibility, tooth-colored fillings require less alteration of your natural tooth structure to place than their amalgam (metal) counterparts. They also don’t lead to unwanted side effects, like tooth discoloration and increased sensitivity, like amalgam fillings are known to cause.

Tooth Extractions

If a tooth is too damaged to be preserved, we may recommend a tooth extraction to ensure the health of your surrounding teeth. This is because tooth infections and decay can spread if they aren’t addressed in a timely manner. If this is the case for your smile, we can replace your extracted tooth with a natural feeling and functioning alternative, like a dental implant with a crown.

Root Canal Treatment

When people hear they need a root canal, their first response is to often panic because they’ve heard how uncomfortable it can be. However, root canal treatment actually allows our team to eliminate painful toothaches that are a result of infections that have infiltrated the pulp of teeth. We’ll use a local anesthetic to numb the area we’re treating and make sure you don’t feel an ounce of discomfort throughout the procedure as well. After your tooth has been treated, we’ll place a custom-crafted dental crown over it to protect and support it.
