Get to Know Dr. Jeffrey Perez
Dr. Perez has always had a passion for helping people, and he believes that taking care of someone’s oral health is one of the best ways to do this. When dentistry is done well, it doesn’t just help someone physically, but mentally, too, because they feel confident about the appearance of their smile. He can’t wait to show you just how comfortable and personalized a trip to the dentist in Marco Island can be, but first, you can learn a little more about him below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Perez always liked working with his hands, or as he puts it, “creating something out of nothing.” Later on, he gained a passion for science and medicine while in college. This all culminated in his decision to pursue a career in dentistry, where he gets to do what he truly enjoys every single day.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from Florida International University, Dr. Perez earned his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University. While there, he was awarded Honors in Endodontics, and today, he is a member of the:
- American Dental Association
- Florida Dental Association
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- Academy of General Dentistry
- American Academy of Implant Dentistry
Dr. Perez thinks it’s important for him to offer basic dental care to people who normally wouldn’t be able to afford it, so over the years, he has volunteered at the Mission of Mercy and taken part in numerous Give Kids A Smile events.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Perez is happily married to the love of his life, Elizabeth, who also works in our dental practice as a hygienist. Together, they have two beautiful daughters, Isabel and Leahbel, as well as an adorable puppy, Fluffy. When he isn’t spending time at home with family, Dr. Perez likes to exercise, go to the movies, and visit theme parks. He is also a big sports fan and enthusiastically roots for all of his home teams.
